The AJ-740 printing system is supplied complete with:  The comprehensive Roland VersaWorks™ RIP, colour management and workflow software.  A fully integrated and highly effective three stage drying system for high-speed high-density printing.  And, a heavy-duty feed and take-up system which supports media rolls of up to 100kg (220.5lb).  The complete Roland AdvancedJet package allows you to work with the most flexible and economical array of materials in the most efficient and productive manner.

Superior print quality at outstanding speeds

Roland’s 1.87m (74”) wide AdvancedJet™ AJ-740 is built for high volume production printing. With a maximum print speed of 80m²/hr and is capable of delivering superior image quality at 40m²/hr. The AJ-740 offers a maximum print resolution of 720dpi.

 

Exclusive Solvent Sublimation ink

Our exclusive solvent sublimation ink has been developed for industrial strength performance. It comes in 6 vivid colours (CMYKLcLm) for exceptional gamut, high colour density and unmatched durability, even in high speed modes.

High capacity ink delivery system

 With the AJ-740, you can go the distance. It’s high capacity 1 litre ink bottles ensure seamless unattended print runs, and an advanced ink delivery system allows ink to be replaced without pausing.

Integrated tri-heater and air knife system

The AJ-740 features an integrated tri-heater dryer and blower system that make both high speed printing and take up possible. The heating system consist of 3 elements: A pre-heater opens pores in the media to improve its receptiveness. The print heater accelerates ink fastness and brightness by ensuring the ink is absorbed. Finally, the dryer and blower accelerate ink drying for better productivity, workability and scratch resistance.

Automated media feed and take up system

The AJ-740 includes an automated media feed and take up system for precision high-volume printing, even when unattended. The pre-assembled unit includes front mounted feed and take up rollers and a dual idler roller system which together ensure correct media feeding. The system supports rolls weighing up to 100Kg (220lbs.) and offers front access for convenient loading and unloading. 

Network connection

Equipped with a standard 100 BASE-TX/10 BASE-T interface, the AJ-740 connects seamlessly to office networks with a data transmission rate of 1.1Mb/sec. This makes it easy to configure a highly efficient printing environment.

Roland VersaWorks™ RIP, colour management and workflow software with true Adobe™ PostScript™ Level 3 support

Roland’s VersaWorks™ RIP, colour management and workflow software is tightly integrated with the printing hardware, it delivers consistent efficient and professional results with the minimal of operator training.

Standard features include: the ability to easily import files from industry standard graphics applications, preview jobs on screen, and layout, edit and print functions that include auto-nesting, clipping, tiling and auto/manual-layout. In addition, users can automatically update VersaWorks through the Internet, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest software version and ICC profiles available. It’s advanced features include a spot colour library, spot colour replacement and variable data production. Together these features ensure convenience, economy and most importantly precision colour reproduction.

VersaWorks is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista operating systems and is built upon the genuine Adobe® PostScript® CPSI™ RIP engine for maximum compatibility

Comes with a RolandCare™ Silver service and support package

As with all Roland inkjet printers, the AJ-740 is a solid production machine. Roland build their machines to be as rugged and reliable as possible, and as with all high volume production printers, regular maintenance will ensure your machine performs at it’s optimum.

The AJ-740 comes with a standard RolandCare™ Silver service and support package which provides you with:

  • 3 hour Technical Support Response
  • 2 day on-site response window
  • 1 preventative maintenance visit during the year

Along side these, Standard Head Cover is also included – meaning that if your heads fail within their life expectancy you get replacement heads installed for you for FREE
