With its auto maintenance system the AdvancedJet™ AJ-1000 ensures reliable performance and easy, hassle-free operation, enabling it to be operated or left for extended periods with virtually no operator intervention.
The system is supplied with a heavy-duty take-up system which supports media rolls of up to 100kg (220.5lb) allowing you to choose from the most flexible and economical array of materials.
*The highest-speed production mode may not be suitable for all applications.
**To minimise odour, Roland recommends that you provide adequate ventilation in the work area.

Superior print quality at outstanding speeds |
Roland’s 2.6m (104”) wide AdvancedJet AJ-1000 is built for high volume production printing. It’s Roland’s fastest model to date with a maximum print speed of 90m²/hr (968sqft/hr) and is capable of delivering superior image quality at 60m²/hr (645sqft/hr). The AJ-1000 offers a maximum print resolution of 720dpi.

Exclusive Solvent Sublimation Ink

Solvent Sublimation ink has been developed for industrial strength performance. It comes in 6 vivid colours (CMYKLcLm) for exceptional gamut, high colour density and unmatched durability, even in high speed modes. |
| High capacity ink delivery system
|
With the AJ-1000, you can go the distance. It’s high capacity 1 litre ink bottles ensure seamless unattended print runs, and an advanced ink delivery system allows ink to be replaced without pausing. |
Integrated tri-heater and air knife system
|
The AJ-1000 features an integrated tri-heater system and air knife that make both high speed printing and take up possible. The heating system consist of 3 elements: A pre-heater opens pores in the media to improve its receptiveness. The print heater accelerates ink fastness and brightness by ensuring the ink is absorbed. Finally, the dryer and air knife accelerate ink drying for better productivity, workability and scratch resitance.

Automated media feed and take up system
|
The AJ-1000 includes an automated media feed and take up system for precision high-volume printing, even when unattended. The pre-assembled unit includes front mounted feed and take up rollers and a dual idler roller system, that together ensure correct media feeding. The system supports rolls weighing up to 100kg (220lbs.) and offers front access for convenient loading and unloading. |
Network connection

Equipped with a standard 100 BASE-TX/10 BASE-T interface, the AJ-1000 connects seamlessly to office networks with a data transmission rate of 1.1Mb/sec. This makes it easy to configure a highly efficient printing environment. |
Adobe PostScript level 3 VersaWorks RIP
|
The AJ-1000 includes VersaWorks, a powerful RIP software developed by Roland engineers for the company’s inkjet technology. VersaWorks RIP software features an efficient graphical user interface for consistent, professional results and includes several new upgrades including a spot colour library, and functions for spot colour replacement, clipping and auto-nesting. Together these features ensure added convenience, economy and precision colour reproduction. VersaWorks allows users to easily import files from their favorite program without a lengthy learning curve. Standard features include the ability to preview jobs on screen, and layout, edit and print functions that include nesting, tiling and auto/manual-layout. In addition, users can automatically update VersaWorks through the Internet, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest software version and ICC profiles available. Built upon the genuine Adobe® PostScript® CPSI™ RIP engine, VersaWorks is compatible with Windows 2000/XP operating systems. |
